Monte Santoccio is a 4 hectare estate located in Fumane, the heart of the Valpolicella Classico growing region of the Veneto. Winemaker Nicola Ferrari, who now controls the property with his wife Laura, began his career by working for Giuseppe Quintarelli, the most prestigious property in the DOC, when he was just 26 years old.
Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara, the traditional grapes of the region, make up the blends that Ferrari produces. He maintains exacting control over every aspect of the winery from vineyard to marketing, and his goal is to produce wines in the traditional Valpolicella style, true to terrroir and great value to boot.
