Les Grandes Places is one of the finest terroirs in Côte Rôtie. It is located upper mid-slope above the village of Vérenay, north of Ampuis. The cuvaison lasts 28 days with one pump over and one punchdown each day.

Gentle toasty aromatics of new oak enhance the nose of dark syrah fruit tinged w white pepper, licorice and some smoked bacon. The mouth is quite full, with rich, ripe fruit and plenty of intensity. The tannins are ripe and still quite present in their youth to enable aging for 5-15 years.
