The Schmitt's dry muscat from the excellent Glintzberg vineyard is always a hit, and alas, is always in very short supply. We receive just 25 cases a year.
The nose is classic muscat with some spice, lychee and other tropical fruit notes that lead one to think that a sweet wine will follow. In the mouth, the acidity is very fresh and crisp with a good mineral backbone and nice length. Although dry, there is an unctuous richness that make it very food friendly and especially compatible with spicy dishes. |
