From a small planting in the prized Bournais vineyard, these vines are ungrafted, planted on their own roots.  Just a couple barrels of this beauty were made and the great quality of the 2008 vintage put this wine head and shoulders above the rest. 

The nose is very fine already showing hints of exotic fruit, spice and some quince.  In the mouth, the limestone bedrock that vines are growing in really leave their mark.  Great acidity will carry this wine through the ages.
