This is a multi-varietal cuvée (7 cepages) composed of 60% from the base vintage (the youngest on the label) and the remainder from up to 10 previous vintages using the Champagne version of the Solera system. Each varietal adds its own personality to the blend with the more obscure Arbanne and Petit Meslier offering their herbaceous and high acid balance to the already harmonious blend of the more traditional cepages. The result is a truly compelling wine with a forceful personality.
