Produced from 20-35 year old vines, the vineyards for this cuvée are located on the lower slopes with fairly deep clay and broken up limestone. Aged in barrel (10% new oak) for 10 months with some stirred lees, the wine is then racked and assembled in neutral oak for an additional 5-6 months before bottling.
The nose shows floral notes with some citrus and hazelnut aromas. Fairly rich in the mouth, it is persistent with good acid and nice tension. |
