Granted, by now we are well-aware of the great 2007 vintage in the South of France.  As many have noticed, the ripeness of the vintage can tend to be over-the-top, especially in the wines that are produced with predominantly Grenache.  This was not the case at Trévallon.  The unique northwest exposition of the vineyards combined with the absence of Grenache in the blend, have made for a stunning vintage that ranks at the very top of the many great efforts to come from this winery.  Perfect balance of ripe fruit, tannins and bright acidity are the hallmark of this wine.  Very rare is the vintage of any wine where we can truthfully say that the wine will drink well in its youth, but age gracefully for many years.  This is that wine from that vintage.  Having now tasted it several times, it is safe to say that this is no exageration.

Quantities are limited as the «en primeur » offering in Europe was an unprecedented success.
